The vineyards

Our vineyards extend for 14 Ha. They are of different ages and diverse wine varieties: Canaiolo, Trebbiano, Colorino, Manzoni blend, Ancellotta and Sangiovese. Their soil has good sun exposure and an excellent chemical composition, which allow the growth and maturation of healthy fruits with a decisive flavour, which turn into wines with a strong personality. A part of these lands is classified as Chianti production areas. The vineyards are interspersed with olive trees and surrounded by woods rich in a wide variety of flora and fauna and hydrated by little streams of water. Walking among the rows of vineyards, you can enjoy a magnificent landscape that stuns with its natural, almost artistic beauty.

A big Tuscan classic
and a rare, precious jewel

Sangiovese and Manzoni blend – two vines that we chose to focus on with all our respect and dedication

Parresìa, the Manzoni

The Manzoni blend is the most successful one of the four blends created by Professor Manzoni in the first half of the 1900s. It is a fusion of Rhine Riesling and Pinot Blanc, which first arrived to Pienza, Tuscany, and from there it spread to a few other territories in the region. In fact, our Manzoni blend is very rare in our part of Tuscany. It’s a jewel that we try to make the most of, letting the vineyard run its course and avoiding any intervention in wine making that could alter its characteristics. This vine gives life to Parresìa, our elegant sour and fresh white.

Zimbatò, the Sangiovese

Our Sangiovese, grown at 300 meters above the sea level, gives life to Zimbatò - the red that takes its body, lasting flavour and color from this grape. The Sangiovese vines take up most of the farm's cultivated area and express our desire to continue the company's tradition on this land between Chianti and Pratomagno. Harvested by hand, the grapes are carefully selected and made into wine. We produce a relatively low number of bottles, so that the quality precedes the quantity.
